One thing I like to do is play games. I love playing Video Games and watching movies.

Favorite movies (Roughly in the order they made it onto this list):

  • Gattaca
  • Star Trek: First Contact
  • Just Visiting
  • A Beautiful Mind
  • The Incredibles
  • Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
  • Serenity
  • Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shambala
  • Harry Potter: And the Sorcerer's Stone
  • Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
  • Stardust
  • Tron: Legacy
  • Avengers

I've mentioned elsewhere here that I sell board games. I love playing board and card games, some of my favorites are:

  • Carcassonne (I've got about 10 expansions?)
  • Bang! (I've got the first two expansions)

There's a number of comics I read frequently. I rate them on two scales, the comedic value of an average comic, and the comedic value of their great ones. So, a zero would be completely not funny, and ten is literally rolling on the floor laughing, or even death by laughter. A five is about the limit of an audible laugh. But really, it doesn't get on my list unless their best comics are a 10 at least once a month. So unless otherwise specified, all these comics have 10s

  • Foxtrot 6 (no longer daily :( )
  • Dilbert 3
  • Penny Arcade 8 (frequently profane)
  • 8-Bit Theater 8 (discontinued)
  • Real Life Comics 7
  • GU Comics 4 (But bests really are only about a 9)
  • Megatokyo 2 (This one is weird to rate as it's more of a story that's getting told very slowly. So "funny" isn't the best descriptor here. Sure, they hit the 10 mark, but it's rare. They also have frequent zero days. On the other hand, from a storytelling (drama?) perspective, it's easily a consistent 9)
  • xkcd 9 (disclaimer: "this comic occasionally contains strong language (which may be unsuitable for children), unusual humor (which may be unsuitable for adults), and advanced mathematics (which may be unsuitable for liberal-arts majors)."  I'm using their disclaimer because it's funny and appropriate.)
  • Strong Bad emails 5 (These guys aren't very regular or frequent, so I usually go watch about 2-3 months or more at a time.)
  • Erfworld 4 (again, a 9 in story)
